How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My enthusiasm and grasp of the way the colours and pigments work together and my practical demonstrations from basic up to complicated, coupled with provision of all materials and coverage of all aspects of the medium ensure rapid progress in improving, whether tyro or experienced painter.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Enjoyment of producing pictures, and delight in being able to set beginners and even experts on the road to understanding and the desire to improve.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Expert watercolour tuition entitled Simply Watercolour, which explains how to maximise the versatility of the medium by understanding how pigments and colours work together. I run workshops which are suitable for the absolute beginner and also for painters who have reached a plateau and wish to expand either their practice or understanding of the pitfalls, or both.
