Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I build figurative ceramic sculptures using earthenware clay, slips and glazes. Exploiting the textures of clay and randomly adding elements of mythological elements, I create each piece spontaneously, expressing the energy I'm feeling as it forms and flows as I create each individual piece.
I like to think of the clay body materials I use guiding me naturally into what direction each piece naturally flows. Inspired by my thoughts and feelings at the time.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

My art allows me to pour out my inner passion, thoughts and feelings. An expression of my inner creativity, I like to get lost and escape into another zone and connect with a part of my unconscious mind.
