How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I make work which has its roots in childhood visual input - the graphic lines of comics, the colours of the 1960s, illustrated books. I often don't recognise the influence until after I've finished a piece.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
It means expressing something that has no other outlet. I make work for the sheer pleasure and satisfaction of construction.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I'm mostly a painter, but I refresh my ideas with 3D and printmaking
