Although my degree is in General Illustration, I do not consider myself an Illustrator. I have a long standing love for collagraph printmaking, but after a decade of working in a very controlled and detailed way, I am now seeking change. I'd love to find new ways of bringing painting and printmaking together - this is a work in progress! The painted details in my work are based around nature and wildlife. I am always interested in working with litter from my local landscape because it is a way to engage my audience in my process whilst restoring the natural beauty of our countryside.
Being an artist for me feels like a responsibility to conceptualise, translate, and communicate through a variety of mediums, in ways that will make a difference to the world. It is working to create beautiful things, facilitate creativity in others, and offer visual stimulation and appreciation to those that need it.
A printmaker / painter striving to engage with people, the world, and the natural environment.
Currently my time is divided between creating artwork to exhibit and sell at 'The Artists' Gallery', Ludlow (an Artist cooperative I am a member of, located at the site of Ludlow Farmshop); delivering therapeutic art sessions for teenagers attending Longlands Care Farm; delivering workshops for other organisations such as Ignite CIC, Meadow Arts and No Wrong Door.
