How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I love to experiment with clay, trying out new shapes and designs. Glazing is an important part of my result. If the pot has not turned out as expected, I reglaze and fire again.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
An artist is someone who is always aware of their surroundings, and uses this in their design process.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I work under the name 'Whitbourne Ceramics'.
Most of my pots are one off designs and commissions.
I have exhibited in Herefordshire Art Week several times before.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I run a couple of groups a week for up to six people per session on learning the basic skills to make pots.
These are run in the spring and summer months.
