How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I Design and Maker Furniture for individual clients, using the characters of both the clients and the species of wood chosen to make, what I hope will become family heirlooms.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Being an artist/cabinet maker gives me a wonderful opportunity through the clients and wood used to experiment with lots of different artistic ideas,
Making a living from something I love to do.
I also Teach woodworking which enables me to meet a very diverse range of people.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

Furniture Designer and Maker.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I provide a range of Furniture based woodworking courses from 1 Day to 1 month.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

City and Guilds, IBTC Lowerstoft Certificates in Wooden Boatbuilding.
1 year course in Fine Furniture Making under Christopher Faulkner Totnes.
Level 3 PTLLS in Education and Training.
Level 3 Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.
