The paintings and drawings that I make reference where I live . The small drawings of the Teme Valley have been the basis of my big landscape drawings , which in turn inform my large semi abstract paintings.
Self directed work . Sometimes when an invitation to join in with a themed exhibition such as the Spirit of Fire exhibition at St Michaels and All Angels Kingsland over Pentacost this year .I let the research take over and guide me. I am a member of Abstract Edge who are showing as a group at Discoed this year . Otherwise it is about putting together a series of pictures that talk to each other for an exhibition . So at the moment I have been in the studio every day making work for a show at The Table Hay opens 1st July 2023 and things are just beginning to surface, coalesce.
A painter, I draw and paint the landscape and then abstract it when the materials take over.
I exhibit my work in Galleries .
I have recently run drawing and Art workshops locally in Knighton with a foundation for oldsters and a series called 'Good morning drawing' at the Oriel Davies.
