How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I keep sketch books and draw from my immediate surroundings and the landscape, from which I paint, make prints and poems and songs. Some poetry has started to become etched into the coil pots I make, my clay sculptures are infused with my love of myth my life-long dream to be able to take flight.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Sharing and facilitating arts experiences has enriched my life as a maker, I have a passion for drawing and run drawing classes. We all have the ability to draw and mark making is an ancient practice that we can all share.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I am an Artist/Maker-my practice is evolving and includes being an arts facilitator.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I believe shared arts experiences make a real and lasting difference, not only for those who are involved in sharing the making, but also in the wider community. I run regular local drawing classes in Presteigne, 'Drawntogether', I teach painting and other mediums such a printing & I am happy to discuss running workshops or arranging private tuition for G.C.S.E or A Level or adult learners. CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

Linzi is currently studying her M.A. in Contemporary Craft at HCA. Having gained her B.A. Degree in Bradford and P.G. Cert in Fine Art Management, Linzi has worked in large inner London schools, SEN settings, schools in the Midlands and, as Head of Art at a prep school. Linzi led an international arts project working with 3 schools in Banda Ache, Sumatra, following the Tsunami. She also worked with KW4K theatre company on their project ‘Break the Chains’ to raise awareness of child slavery, and, has worked with Compton Verney as part of their museums Education team. As a songwriter Linzi signed to Warner/Chappell's and sold her hand printed silks exclusively through Liberty's.
