How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

Most of my work is birds and animals. These are single standing figures or more abstract panels. They are intended to enhance gardens, and can provide some colour in the winter days. Items work as well indoors.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

My art is firstly for my own benefit.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I'm a fused glass artist interested in garden sculptures.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I do a little teaching at beginners level.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

Started glass work when caring for my parents 16 years ago. I attended glasses taught by the late Amanda Moriarty in Worcestershire. On the death of my parents I moved to Somerset and set up my own studio with kiln.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

Annually at Showborough Gardens Worcestershire.
