Fold Visuals work is a mixture of CONTEMPORARY + ABSTRACT + POP ART. Creating mixed media artworks, mainly working with acrylic, spray paint, pastels and marker pen. The work is bold, multi-layered and colourful. The work is produced as a counterbalance to her graphic design work where you are restricted to moving more freely across the canvas.
Fold + Hide work is INDUSTRIAL + MODERN + RUSTIC. Creating vegetable-tanned leather homeware, furniture, art and accessories. Working with leather gives Jo the opportunity to combine her passions for interior, furniture and homeware design to produce beautifully handcrafted pieces.
For me being an artist is how I express myself to the world. I have lived and breathed the creative arts since I was very young. Finding a range of outlets to do so, be it the form of movement, craft or design.
Fold is a creative studio which showcases the work of Jo Murphy (aka Fold). Jo is a Graphic Designer (Fold Graphics), Leatherworker (Fold + Hide) and Visual Artist (Fold Visuals).
