How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I make a large range of different style baskets. Some are traditional baskets that are passed down through generations.
I make alot of baskets for many uses mostly to do with fruit and vegetable storage or collecting.
I also experiment with more artistic baskets.
Making baskets gives me a huge sense of well being and mental clarity.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

For me, being an artist allows me to express my inner creativity. It is a very personal journey.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I am an artisan basket maker

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I make baskets to sell in in a few outlets and Galleries
I teach 2 regular weekly basketry classes and occasional day courses.
I have just joined a new project called The Fathom Trust which is all about mental and physical healing through arts and crafts, I will be teaching day workshops.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

I exhibited with H Arts at The Makers Mezzanine gallery, Whitney on Wye in 2019.
