How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I make silver jewellery with textured surfaces using roller printing and etching. I love pattern and texture and small things.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It's what I do. I'm not good at taking direction or following instructions. By making I am in control, as much as the material allows.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Designer maker

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

Alongside my colleague, Wytske Lazenby, I run "The Silver Workbench" where we offer classes in Silver Smithing and Jewellery in between concentrating on my own work.

I completed a Foundation Course at Shrewsbury College of Art after leaving school, then drifted into other things. Much later I undertook a degree course in Contemporary Applied Arts at HCA, graduating in 2010.
