How would you describe the work you do and why?:
Trying to capture the spirit of a place. Paint can allow you to help depict what you feel about somewhere, not simply the image seen by the eye.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Enjoyment and a way to express something other than in words.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I'm a dabbler in oils, enjoying experimenting with paint, brushes and surfaces to try and get the essence of what I feel is the place (and occasionally, person) I'm painting.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I simply paint when in the mood.

I've always painted solely for pleasure and have received no training.
